THE LAST TIME

If I knew it was the last time I would see you, I would have I stayed longer by your side;

If I knew it was the last time I would talk with you, I would have listened more and asked better questions;

If I knew it was the last time I would laugh with you, I would have laughed harder and louder.

If I knew it was the last time I would hug you, I would have squeezed tighter;

If I knew it was the last time I would hold your hand, I would have never let go;

If I knew it was the last time I would say "I love you," I would have said it again and again.

If I knew it was the last time we would be together, I would have spent every moment...

- seeing you, taking with you, laughing with you

- hugging you, holding your hand, and loving you with all my heart

If only I knew it would be the last time...

...thank you, Dad, for being my Dad and friend.  Thank you for your kindness, support, love, and laughter.  I will miss you dearly.
